Richard Pooley's work experience begins with their current position as a Project Leader at Woods Bagot since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Leader at Hames Sharley from 2020 to 2022. Richard also served as a Senior Design Manager at Diriyah Gate Development Authority from 2020 to 2020. Before that, they were a Project Design Manager at Scentre Group from 2016 to 2020. Richard also held positions as a Team Leader at Select Architects from 2014 to 2015, a Team Leader at DesignInc from 2011 to 2014, and a Senior Architectural Drafter at Westfield, Design & Construct from 2007 to 2011. Richard started their career as a Senior Architectural Drafter at HASSELL from 2002 to 2007 and as an Architectural Technician at Resource Architecture Pty Ltd from 2001 to 2003. Richard also worked as an Electrical Drafter at BESTEC PTY LTD in Adelaide, South Australia from 1998 to 1999.

Richard Pooley attended the University of South Australia from 2001 to 2009, where they pursued a Masters degree in Architecture.
