Senior Manager I - Senior Brand Copywriter at Wonder

Willa Young has a diverse range of work experience in the food industry and the arts. Willa started their career as a Food Columnist and Life & Arts Reporter for The Daily Texan, where they reported on current events and wrote a weekly food column. Willa then worked as a Production Intern at Triage Entertainment, assisting with research, casting, and production for food programs. Willa later joined Theatrical Education Group as a Manager, where they managed and performed in theatrical productions and directed the Summer Acting Camp. Willa also worked as a Manager at Theatrical Education Group, overseeing productions and directing the Summer Acting Camp. Willa gained experience in the culinary field as an Executive Culinary Assistant at Boston Urban Hospitality, where they learned about running restaurants and opening new concepts. Willa also worked as a Culinary Assistant at Tastemade, developing recipes and managing cooking for recipe videos. Willa's experience in the food industry continued as a Recipe Editor at Plated, where they developed and edited recipes, produced recipe videos, and provided editorial content. Willa contributed to ckbk as a Freelance Contributor, writing weekly editorial content and summarizing cookbooks. Willa's most recent role was at Wonder, where they worked as a Senior Associate II and Manager II - Brand Copywriter. In this position, they contributed to the fast-growing food-tech startup by creating engaging and innovative brand copy and driving the brand's messaging. Throughout their career, Willa has gained valuable skills in writing, journalism, culinary arts, and management.

Willa Young attended La Canada High School from 2008 to 2012. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies at The University of Texas at Austin from 2012 to 2016. In 2015, they also participated in a Semester At Sea program with ISE, where they focused on Travel Writing.
