Lexa Lara currently serves as the Vice President of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for Women in Business at UC San Diego and has been an Academic Peer Advisor in the UC San Diego Computer Science and Engineering Department since March 2023. In this role, Lexa collaborates with students to foster an inclusive learning environment. Previous experience includes a position as a College Readiness Intern at Access Youth Academy, where guidance through college and scholarship applications was provided, and a role at Shōwa Hospitality, focusing on customer service in a fast-paced setting. Lexa is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Human Developmental Sciences with a specialization in Equity and Diversity at UC San Diego, expected to graduate in June 2025, and is also a participant in the UC San Diego Chancellor's Associates Scholars Program. Educational background includes a high school diploma from The Preuss School UC San Diego.
