Kelsey Nourayi has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Waitress at Pedone's Pizza & Deli from March 2015 to September 2016. Following this, they worked as an Accounting Intern at Pac Global Insurance, where they reconciled accounts payable, created invoices, and recorded payments from February 2017 to October 2017.
In 2017, they also served as a Campus Ambassador for the California Society of CPAs/CalCPA Education Foundation. In this role, they increased CalCPA visibility on campus, spoke at Accounting Society meetings, hosted panel speaker events, and collaborated with professors to promote CalCPA within the campus.
Later in 2017, Kelsey interned at NDH, where they worked on various accounting projects using Excel and QuickBooks. Kelsey created financial statements, implemented a payroll allocation template, and gained experience in CFO accounting solutions.
In 2018, they interned as an Accounting Intern at Fullscreen, where they created revenue recognition schedules and summarized lease agreements for YouTubers and brands.
In the same year, Kelsey returned to Armanino LLP as an Audit Intern, further developing their skills in auditing.
Starting in 2018, Kelsey took on the role of President at LM-U Match, an on-campus, student-run recruiting service. In this position, they led the client team, contacting reputable companies to help place the best candidates from LMU for internships. Kelsey also contributed to the candidate team by contacting potential candidates and conducting interviews.
Kelsey then rejoined Armanino LLP in 2020 as an Audit Associate. During this time, they exhibited strong analytical skills, developed administrative and interpersonal skills, analyzed financial statement data, documented controls and weaknesses in client accounting systems, and supervised, planned, and performed audits, reviews, and compilations.
Most recently, Kelsey joined WME (William Morris Endeavor) in 2022 as a Senior Accountant, where they are responsible for financial analysis and reporting.
Throughout their work experience, Kelsey has consistently demonstrated their ability to adapt to different roles and responsibilities while consistently seeking opportunities for professional and personal growth.
Kelsey Nourayi earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business & Applied Information Management Systems Dual Major from Loyola Marymount University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications in software product management from Coursera. These certifications include "Agile Planning for Software Products," "Reviews & Metrics for Software Improvements," "Client Needs and Software Requirements," "Software Processes and Agile Practices," and "Introduction to Software Product Management." These certifications were obtained between August 2018 and October 2018.
