Randy Betke has extensive experience in broadcast engineering, with a career spanning over four decades. Currently semi-retired, Randy serves as the Assistant Chief Engineer at WKYC Studios since January 2016, after holding the position of Technical Maintenance Supervisor starting in December 2012. Randy's responsibilities include evening shift problem-solving and maintenance. Prior roles include Broadcast Technician at WKBN-TV, where responsibilities involved on-air product management and transmitter operations, as well as maintenance and installation duties. Randy began the broadcasting career at WNEO/WEAO-TV and WFAH AM&FM in the late 1970s. Educational qualifications include an Associate degree in Electronic Technology from The University of Akron and an Associate degree in Telecommunications Technology from Kent State University.
