Margaret Bernstein is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in journalism and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Advocacy and Community Initiatives at WKYC-TV since September 2014, Margaret manages various community projects and has directed the Emmy-winning Education Station campaign, significantly enhancing literacy and attendance in Cleveland schools. Prior to this role, Margaret was a Social Media Marketing Consultant for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and is a former National Big Sister of the Year. Over a 24-year tenure at The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Margaret excelled as a columnist, editor, and reporter, receiving multiple awards including the NABJ’s Best News Series Award for investigative reporting. Margaret holds a Bachelor’s degree in Print Journalism from the University of Southern California.
