Michael Fotheringham has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Michael is currently the Chief Executive Officer at WJS Canada, where they lead a team of committed individuals in providing support to people with diverse abilities and children and families. Prior to this, Michael served as the Executive Director at Okanagan Indian Band, overseeing a large organization with a significant budget. Michael also held the role of Principal at New Story Consulting Ltd., specializing in consulting services. In addition, Michael has experience in business and economic development as the Manager at Splatsin Development Corporation. Michael has also worked in research and project management roles at Calgary Economic Development and Legislative Assembly of Alberta, respectively. Over the course of their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in leadership, policy development, project management, financial analysis, and community engagement.
Michael Fotheringham completed their undergraduate education from 1997 to 2001 at Bishop's University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree. Michael'sfield of study included Political Studies and Business Administration. Following a gap in their education, they pursued a Master of Public Administration degree at the University of Regina from 2008 to 2009. During this period, they focused on Public Policy. In 2009, Michael enrolled in a program at Pacific Permaculture and obtained a Permaculture Design Certificate, specializing in Permaculture.
