Michael Galvis

Creative Content Producer, D&d Beyond at Wizards of the Coast

Michael Galvis has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. Starting in 2011, they worked at IDW Publishing as both a Shipping Assistant and Editorial Assistant, where they managed online orders, updated inventory, and assisted in drafting and editing comic book content. In 2012, Michael worked as a Content Writer for G4TV, creating blogs and optimizing content for maximum organic traffic. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a Content and Social Media Strategist at National Positions, collaborating with a team to produce lead-generating content and maintaining client relationships. Michael also gained editorial experience as a Writer and Editor for Blindfold Magazine from 2012 to 2015, conducting interviews, editing articles, and covering events related to social and environmental action. In 2015, they joined ConsumerTrack, Inc. as a Features Editor, where they edited personal finance content and garnered media coverage for GOBankingRates.com. Moving on to Student Loan Hero in 2017, Michael took on the role of Deputy Editor, contributing to the editorial process. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Managing Editor at LendingTree, overseeing editorial content. Most recently, they joined Fandom in 2021 as a Tabletop Content Producer before transitioning to the position of Creative Content Producer for D&D Beyond at Wizards of the Coast in 2022.

Michael Galvis obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Creative Writing from Pepperdine University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing at San Diego State University from 2010 to 2013. In December 2013, Michael also obtained a certification in Google Analytics from Google.
