Kristin Chan

Program Manager at Wizards of the Coast

Kristin Chan has a diverse work experience with various companies and roles. Kristin started their career as a Branch Manager at College Works Painting in 2008. Kristin then worked as an Intern at Lifehacker.com and as a Junior Marketing Analyst at UC4 Software, Inc in 2011. In 2012, they were a Pricing Analyst at Corbis. Later, they worked as a Copyeditor at Hortonworks in 2014 and as a Managing Editor at IndieKnow.net from 2013 to 2017.

From 2015 to 2018, Kristin held multiple roles, including Freelance Copy Editor at content26, LLC, and Senior Associate - Activity Management and Portfolio Accountant at Parametric.

In 2018, they joined System1 as a Campaign Analyst for a brief period.

From 2019 onwards, Kristin worked at Wizards of the Coast, starting as a Data Analyst and then transitioning to a Producer role where they were responsible for managing incubation projects and conducting playtests. Kristin also served as the president of the Women of Wizards ERG. Later, they became a Data Scientist, where they collaborated with external developers, analyzed player behavior, and provided valuable insights to improve user engagement and retention. Currently, they are working as a Program Manager for the Magic the Gathering Product Research Team, where they drive process improvements, owns research roadmaps, and ensures research is aligned with organizational goals.

Kristin Chan's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Kristin pursued a degree in Actuarial Science and completed their studies in 2011. After a gap of two years, Kristin continued their education in 2013 by attending UW Professional & Continuing Education. Kristin obtained a certificate in Editing in 2014.

Furthermore, Kristin has acquired additional certifications from the Scrum Alliance. Kristin earned the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification in November 2020 and the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification in October 2020.
