Grady Frederick

Illustrator at Wizards of the Coast

Grady Frederick has had a diverse work experience in the creative industry. Grady started their career in 2014 as a Background Painter at Mercury Filmworks. In 2017, they worked as a Freelance Concept Artist at Jumpship and did matte painting for the popular web series Red vs. Blue. Grady also worked as a Freelance Illustrator for an undisclosed project at Rooster Teeth during this time.

In 2018, Grady worked as a Freelance Illustrator at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group and was responsible for various artistic projects. Grady then joined Orange Nebula in the same year as an Illustrator, creating card illustrations and box art for their board game called Vindication.

Grady's concept art journey began in 2019 when they joined Ubisoft Quebec City as a Concept Artist, where they worked on undisclosed projects for a brief period. In the same year, they worked as an Illustrator for Wizards of the Coast, showcasing their skills in creating visual content.

During 2020 and 2022, Grady held the position of Concept Artist at Playwing Bordeaux Studio and Ubisoft Quebec City, respectively. Grady contributed to the conceptualization of various projects for both companies.

Most recently, in 2022, Grady joined Eidos-Montréal as a Senior Concept Artist, bringing their extensive experience and expertise to the table.

Grady Frederick has a diverse education history in the fields of concept art and animation. From 2017 to 2019, Grady attended Syn Studio, where they pursued a degree in Applied Evolutionary Computation (AEC) with a specialization in Concept Art. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2015, Grady studied at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, focusing on Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects.
