Yvonne is an audiovisual archivist with over 15 years of experience preserving media in community-based and non-profit settings, bridging the intersections of activism, technology, and archives. She contributes to developing approaches to archiving that are collaborative, inclusive, accessible, innovative, and relevant to the ways that people use video today.
As the Archives Program Manager at WITNESS, Yvonne is dedicated to supporting people to create and use archives for human rights change and accountability. She assists and trains grassroots partners, produces sharable learning materials, and advocates on issues related to human rights archives.
Yvonne is active in the professional archives community and a frequent participant in archivist forums. She is a former board member of the Association of Moving Image Archivists, and a current advisory board member of the Memory Lab Network and Open Archive. She was formerly part of Community Archiving Workshop and XFR Collective. Yvonne has a MA in Moving Image Archiving and Preservation from New York University.
