Zach May is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant State Public Defender for the Wisconsin State Public Defender since August 2022. Previously, Zach held positions as a Law Clerk at The Law Office of Brockton D. Hunter, P.A. and a Legal Extern at the Office of the Public Defender, 2nd Judicial District, gaining valuable experience in courtroom representation and client advocacy. Additional experience includes work as a Courtroom Volunteer with The Advocates for Human Rights, where efforts focused on ensuring fair trials for victims of domestic abuse and trafficking. Zach also completed a Legal Internship at Avisen Legal, conducting legal research and drafting documents. Zach holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Government from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
