Mia Karlsson has a diverse work experience in marketing, communications, and public relations spanning over 20 years. Mia most recently worked at Wirepas as the SVP of Marketing & Communications. Prior to that, they held various leadership positions at Ericsson, including VP and Head of Marketing and Communications for Technology & Emerging Business, VP and Head of Marketing, Communications, Sustainability for Northern Europe, Russia, and Central Asia, and Head of Communications for Modems. Mia also worked as the Director of Internal Communications at ST-Ericsson and as the Media Relations and PR Manager for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East at Caterpillar. Mia began their career in PR and internal communications at UPM Kymmene, Vapo Oy, Lännen Puhelin Oy, and Teollisuuden Voima Oy while pursuing their Master's Degree in Organizational Communications and Public Relations. Throughout their career, Mia has developed and executed marketing and communications strategies, managed media relations, launched and managed internal communications platforms, and led brand positioning and demand generation efforts.

Mia Karlsson's education history includes attending emlyon business school from 2002 to 2003 where they pursued additional studies in Communications, Marketing, and earned a BA degree. Mia also attended the University of Jyväskylä from 1998 to 2003, where they obtained a Master's degree in Organizational communications and PR, Corporate Strategies, BA, Economics, and Environmental Management. Additionally, in 2002, they undertook additional studies in Marketing at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
