Steven M. Winter

Steven M. Winter is a partner in the firm and his practice includes the representation of private companies in mergers and acquisitions, financing and other complex business transactions, hospitality law including alcohol licensing, commercial and residential real estate development, and land use planning. He is also active in community association law representing condominium, townhome and neighborhood community associations. Steven has a wide array of experience in sophisticated business transactions but is also regarded as a trusted advisor for the day-to-day needs of growing businesses and entrepreneurs. He has assisted numerous business clients go from startups through successful exit events. He brings the same level of professionalism and sophistication that is found in his business law practice to community associations – helping them manage their community assets and address their corporate and business affairs.

Steven has spoken at continuing education seminars for attorneys and has written articles for various trade publications covering topics such as business transactions, real estate development, conversion condominiums, mixed use developments and community association law. He is a past president of the Georgia Chapter of Community Association Institute and remains an active member, and a member of the National Association of Alcohol Beverage Licensing Attorneys. Steven has been consistently selected as one of Georgia’s Super Lawyers and as a Georgia Trend’s Legal Elite in the area of mergers and acquisitions.

Steven is a native of Atlanta and received a B.B.A. degree in 1984 from the University of Georgia and his law degree in 1987 from the University of Georgia. He has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1987 and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
