Floris Schoenmakers has a diverse range of work experience. Floris is currently working at Winning Foods as Operations & Sales and also serves as the Founder of the company. Winning Foods specializes in creating healthy soups and smoothies while promoting a plant-based diet and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Floris also founded Equilibrium Ventures, a company they are actively involved in. In addition, they are the Owner of Zapateros.

In terms of their previous roles, Floris worked as a Technical maintenance/forester at Natuurmonumenten from October 2021 to May 2023. Before that, they were a Co-owner and later a Partner at oneUp, where they were responsible for the growth of staff, startups, and the company. Floris has also served as a Boardmember at Vereniging voor Bestuurskunde and was the Founder of Regis Media Groep, a company that owns two online businesses. At Deloitte Nederland, Floris worked as a Senior Consultant Cyber Risk Services, focusing on IT security and the protection of critical infrastructure. Floris also had an internship at Deloitte Risk Services - Security & Privacy. Additionally, Floris has held leadership positions such as Chair at the Festival der Bestuurskunde and Chair at the Landelijk Congres der Bestuurskunde 2011.

Floris Schoenmakers has a diverse education history. In 2006, they began their educational journey at Delft University of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology, Policy and Management in 2010. During their undergraduate studies, they developed a strong interest in engineering and policy analysis, which led him to pursue further education in the field.

From 2010 to 2012, Floris attended Delft University of Technology once again, this time for a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management. This advanced program allowed him to deepen their knowledge and skills in the intersection of technology and policy-making.

In 2011, Floris had the opportunity to participate in the Student EPA Double Degree Program at Harbin Institute of Technology. This program focused on engineering and policy analysis, further expanding their expertise in the field.

Floris also holds several additional certifications related to their professional development. In 2012, they completed the Deloitte HackLab program offered by Deloitte. In 2013, they obtained the Certified SCADA Security Architect (CSSA) certification from InfoSec Institute and the Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) certification from GIAC. That same year, they also completed a course on Understanding and Securing Industrial Control Systems offered by SCADA hacker.

In 2014, Floris earned the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA and the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council, showcasing their expertise in information security. Floris also obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², further bolstering their credentials in the field.

Floris continued expanding their knowledge in different areas through additional certifications. In 2017, they completed a course on Understanding the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) offered by the University of Groningen, Faculty of Law. Floris also obtained certifications in Philosophy of Technology from Universiteit Twente and Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skills from the University of Michigan, showing their dedication to personal and professional growth.
