Emily Kempainen has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to 2018. Emily began their career as a Retail Manager at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. from May 2006 to April 2008. Following that, they worked as a Retail Manager and Store Opener at Betsey Johnson from April 2008 to May 2009.

From August 2009 to July 2011, Emily served as a Store Manager and Assistant Buyer at Allure Intimate Apparel. Their responsibilities included overseeing day-to-day operations, buying new products, opening a new store location, and managing staffing needs.

Emily then joined Nordstrom as a Retail Management professional in the Lingerie and Hosiery department from August 2011 to July 2014. In this role, they focused on achieving sales goals, developing salespeople, delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining merchandising standards, and managing inventory.

Since July 2014, Emily has been associated with Winmark Corporation. Emily started as a Senior Manager of Field Operations, where they served as a consultant to franchisees, managed and trained Field Operations Managers, and oversaw the implementation of brand objectives. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Operations for Plato's Closet.

Emily Kempainen earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Retail Marketing & Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Emily attended the university from 2002 to 2006.
