Prior to this role, Shakil held various management and engineering positions from 1987 to 2006, including Senior Engineer, Chief Engineer, and Engineering Manager at notable companies such as Boeing, Kawasaki Aerospace, and Mitsubishi Aircraft. Shakil holds a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, earned between 1982 and 1986.
