Brooke Treadwell serves as the Culture, Race, & Equity Officer and Grants Officer at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation since September 2017, where efforts focus on creating equitable and collaborative grantmaking processes. Treadwell has a diverse background in education and program management, including roles as a Teacher Education Expert at UNESCO, where leadership involved strategic planning and curriculum implementation for Myanmar's higher education, and as a Senior Associate at DeBoer Foundation, managing education and community development grants. Educational contributions range from coordinating initiatives for women in science at Indiana University to developing programs for refugees through World Education. Treadwell holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy and a Master's in International & Comparative Education from Indiana University Bloomington, along with a Bachelor's degree from McGill University.
