Matt Kempton has over 10 years of work experience in various healthcare organizations. Matt most recently served as the CEO of Willapa Harbor Hospital starting in 2019. Prior to that, they were the CEO of Stephens Memorial Hospital from 2014 to 2019. Matt also has experience in strategic planning and business development as the Manager of Organizational Performance at University Health System in 2013. Matt previously worked as a Regional Project Manager at Uvalde Memorial Hospital where they represented multiple rural hospitals in Texas as their liaison to the RHP 6 Anchor facility. Matt also worked as a consultant, designing a regional breast cancer program involving mobile digital mammography. Earlier in their career, they were an Administrative Intern at Uvalde Memorial Hospital, a Student Consulting Team Member at Texas A&M Health Science Center, and the Director of Group Fitness & Corporate Membership at YMCA of Greater St. Louis. Matt's experience also includes an internship at ARUP Laboratories where they worked in the employee wellness center.
Matt Kempton completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University from 2005 to 2009. Following this, from 2010 to 2012, they attended Texas A&M Health Science Center, where they obtained a Master's degree in Health Administration.
