Melanie Demos is a Donation Processing Specialist at the Wikimedia Foundation. Melanie previously worked as an Advancement and Stewardship Coordinator at IES Abroad from January 2020 to April 2020, when their employment ended due to COVID-19. Prior to that, they worked as a Development Assistant at Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE) from August 2018 to December 2019.
Demos has experience coordinating key stewardship programs across all donor segmentation groups, managing the quarterly operations for essay collection process of 60-70 scholarship recipients, and leading the automation overhaul of student profile reports for donor sponsors. Melanie is skilled in producing polished, detailed, and accurate annual endowed fund donor reports and coordinating individual and group mailings associated with pledge reminder notices, calendar year giving reports, etc. In addition, Demos has experience running queries, mail merges, and exports in Raiser's Edge database and NXT.
Most recently, Demos has been coordinating the Building Bridges monthly giving campaign strategy, team planning, and execution to grow members and manage the alumni email account, phone, and Advancement Office responses.
Melanie Demos has a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and Art Melanie'story from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Melanie also has a Certificate in Grant Writing from DePaul University. Melanie is certified in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging for All from LinkedIn, and in CFRE - Raiser's Edge from Blackbaud.
