Julia Gebert is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of Communications at Wikimedia Deutschland e. V. since November 2022, where responsibilities include leading a team, managing budgets, and overseeing communication strategies and crisis public relations. Prior roles within Wikimedia Deutschland include Spokesperson & PR Manager for the German-speaking Wikipedia community. Julia has held various communications positions at HERE Technologies, Blacklane GmbH, and Interoute Germany GmbH, focusing on internal and external communications and media relations across multiple regions. An earlier career includes a spokesperson role at the International Committee of the Red Cross and work in nonprofit fundraising and consulting.
