Forrest Crawford is a Senior Researcher at the RAND Corporation since December 2023, specializing in biosecurity research and policy. As a Senior Scientist at Whitespace since April 2022, Forrest focuses on R&D and technical methodology in geospatial intelligence. In academia, Forrest has served as an Associate Professor of Biostatistics, Statistics & Data Science, Operations, and Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at Yale University since July 2012, with affiliations including the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS and the Institute for Network Science. Previous roles include Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles from August 2008 to May 2012, Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco from September 2002 to May 2006, and Research Associate. Forrest holds a Bachelor's degree from Oberlin College and both a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy from UCLA.
