Thomas Hayes is the current VP, Go To Market at Whatnot. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President, Regional Operations at PlayVS from April 2020 to June 2021. In this role, they launched the Tampa and Memphis markets while also preparing Orlando for launch. From January 2018 to December 2019, they were the Vice President of Supply Acquisition, Operations & Expansion at HubHaus, where they sat on the company leadership team and led 20 people across supply acquisition, house on-boarding, customer support, and expansion. Prior to that, they were the Director of Regional Marketing for US & Canada at Uber from January 2014 to September 2018. In this role, they managed 150 people across 7 regions in US and Canada in a newly created centralized regional marketing structure focusing on local campaigns, communications & content, and partnerships while sitting on the leadership team of Uber's central marketing team. Thomas also served as a Lab Fellow at 4.0 Schools from July 2012 to August 2012 and as the Founder and CEO of Haystack EDU from January 2012 to December 2014. Thomas's first role was as an Enterprise Summer Intern at Kickboard from August 2011 to September 2011.
Thomas Hayes has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Stanford University School of Education, and a BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of Rochester.
Thomas Hayes reports to Grant LaFontaine, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Evan Hou - Head of Data, Abha Nath - Chief of Staff, and Emily Maher - Head of Talent.
