Mary Vermillion is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with extensive experience across various industries. Currently serving as the Community Relations Manager at Whatcom County Library System since April 2019, Mary leads strategic initiatives in marketing and communications. As co-owner and Marketing/Merchandise Manager of Mud Pond Koi, alongside Kevin Vermillion, Mary oversees marketing efforts for Bellingham's pond equipment store. Previously, Mary held the position of Marketing Director at Village Books and served as the Communications and Marketing Director at Whatcom Community College, where innovative strategies were developed to enhance community engagement. A seasoned leader in the marketing sector, Mary also held significant roles at General Growth Properties and Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism, alongside a background in writing and editing. Mary holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
