Christian Castro has a diverse work experience in the product development and design industry. Christian currently holds the position of Director of Product Development at What Do You Meme?, a role they have been in since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Design Director for the company from January 2020 to October 2022. From January 2018 to December 2019, they worked as the Lead Product Designer at What Do You Meme?.

Christian also has experience at other companies, including Commonwealth Toy & Novelty where they worked as a Senior Designer from December 2015 to December 2017 and as a Designer from June 2015 to December 2015. Christian had a freelance design role at Kurt S. Adler, Inc. for one month in June 2015. Additionally, they worked as a freelance Product / Package Designer at Cardinal Industries from March 2015 to May 2015.

In 2014, Christian worked as a Freelance Product Designer at Fisher-Price, where they were responsible for developing toy concepts, brainstorming new toy ideas, and creating label art for production toys. Christian also worked as a Freelance Designer at Commonwealth Toy & Novelty for a short period in September 2014 and as a Freelance 3D Model Maker at Toy Syndrome in August 2014.

Christian gained valuable experience as a Design Intern at Nickelodeon from June 2013 to August 2013. During this time, they created product concepts for Nickelodeon brands and participated in brainstorming sessions. Before that, they worked as a Toy Demonstrator at FAO Schwarz from October 2011 to June 2013.

Christian started their career as a Freelance Illustrator, running their own business under the name Christian Castro Illustration, from May 2010 to August 2012.

Christian Castro attended Laguardia Arts High School, although the specific years of attendance are unknown. After completing high school, Christian went on to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Illustration. Pursuing further education in the field, Christian returned to the Fashion Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2014, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Toy Design.
