Emily Thompson has extensive experience in management and consultancy across various sectors, notably within the realms of business continuity, risk management, and project management. Currently serving as Manager of Democracy and Assurance at Whangarei District Council since August 2017, Emily has previously held roles such as Senior Assurance Advisor and Audit and Risk Analyst. Prior experience includes significant positions at Capita Customer Management, Imperial College London, and the Keswick Flood Recovery Group, where Emily demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing continuity plans, managing projects, and securing funding for community initiatives. Educationally, Emily holds a BSc Hon in Human Cybernetics from the University of Reading.
