Dawn Spence is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Asset Strategy and Management Lead at Whangarei District Council since March 2020, contributing to the Northland Transport Alliance. Previously, Dawn Spence was the Director at dKASpe from February 2013 to March 2020, providing consultancy services and conducting development training for engineers on projects across Africa. Prior roles include Resident Engineer positions at Bergstan South Africa and Arcus Gibb from 2007 to 2013 and 1989 to 2007, respectively. Dawn Spence holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) with Honours in Civil Engineering from Heriot Watt University, completed in 1989, and completed secondary education at Kirkwall Grammar School.
