Dustin Garvey

Dustin Garvey has extensive experience in the data science field. Dustin currently holds the position of Chief Data Officer at WEVO, where they started in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Lecturer at Northeastern University, starting in March 2021. From June 2021 to February 2022, they worked at Broadcom Inc. in the role of Data Science (AIOps).

Before their time at Broadcom, Garvey was involved in various machine learning and advisory roles. At Archipelago, they were responsible for founding, building, and managing a machine learning team focused on commercial real estate data for the insurance industry. Dustin worked at Archipelago from January 2019 to June 2021. Garvey also served as an Advisor at Stem, Inc. from 2018 to 2019.

In 2016, Garvey co-founded Fact Processing Technologies, where they explored the concept of extracting facts from documents in the legal and insurance industries. Fact Processing Technologies later merged with Archipelago Analytics.

Prior to these roles, Garvey worked as an Advisor at National Oilwell Varco from 2015 to 2019 and as a Consulting Member Of Technical Staff (Data Science) at Oracle from 2014 to 2019. Dustin also held the position of Technical Reviewer at O'Reilly Media from 2015 to 2017.

In 2015, Garvey served as the Technical Program Chair for the PHM Society.

Dustin Garvey has a strong educational background in the field of Nuclear Engineering. Dustin began their academic journey in 2001 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Nuclear Engineering. Dustin completed their undergraduate studies in 2005. Following their B.S., Dustin Garvey continued their education at the same institution, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Nuclear Engineering in 2005.

Dustin'spursuit of knowledge in this field did not end there. In 2006, Dustin Garvey enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, once again, to pursue a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering. This program lasted until 2007, further solidifying their expertise in this specialized field.
