Frances Simowitz has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2012, they worked as a Child Care Provider before transitioning to roles in marketing and admissions. From 2014 to 2015, they gained experience in marketing and demonstrated skills in Google Analytics and Paid Advertising, SEO, and content strategy as a part of the Technical Marketing Track at Startup Institute. Frances also worked as a Director of Marketing Intern at Wifi Music School and as a Marketing Associate at Language Zen. In 2015, they became an Operations/Marketing Associate at Sittercity. In 2016, they joined Startup Institute again, taking on the roles of Associate Director of Admissions and City Admissions Manager, where they contributed to revenue growth and developed proof for effective part-time programming. In 2017, Frances became involved with HackerNest as a Co-Organizer, promoting tech communities and hackathons. Frances then joined NUMA New York, now WEVE Acceleration, as a Program Manager in 2017 and later became the CEO and Managing Director in 2018. In 2021, they were appointed as the Owner and CEO of WEVE Acceleration. Additionally, Frances co-founded cela in 2019 and has been an Advisory Board Member at TechDay HQ since February 2019.
Frances Simowitz completed their Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education at Westminster Choir College of Rider University from 2005 to 2012. After graduating, they obtained the NJ K-12 Music Education certification from The State of New Jersey Department of Education in June 2012. Later, in April 2014, they also acquired the NY State Music Education certification from The State of New York Department of Education.
