Jesse Empey is an experienced software engineer and product owner. Jesse began their career in 1999 as a Senior Software Engineer at SunGard Higher Education. In 2005, they moved to SunGard Higher Education UK as a Senior Software Engineer. Jesse returned to SunGard Higher Education in 2007, where they held the role of Software Development Manager and Advisory Software Engineer. In 2010, they transitioned to Ellucian as Senior Product Owner and Software Development Manager. In 2017, they joined Medici Ventures as Director of Software Development. Most recently, in 2019, they became the CTO & Co-Founder of WETx, a company that leverages blockchain technology to help governments, corporations, and individuals inventory, manage, and monetize their water rights.

Jesse Empey obtained an Associates of Science degree in Computer Science from Dixie State University between 1994 and 1996. In 2017 and 2018, they obtained a Private Pilot Endorsement in Aeronautics/Aviation from Platinum Aviation.
