Alvaro Fernandez is an experienced professional with a strong background in operations and supply chain management. Since July 2015, Alvaro serves as Plant Manager and previously held the position of Performance Excellence Manager at WestRock Company. Prior to this, Alvaro worked at MeadWestvaco (MWV) from 2005 to 2015, taking on various roles including Operations Excellence Manager and Supply Chain Manager, overseeing key functions such as sourcing, production scheduling, and logistics. Alvaro also contributed as Best Practice Manager by leading continuous improvement initiatives and as Six Sigma Manager by promoting Six Sigma methodologies across the organization. Alvaro holds a degree from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, earned between 1990 and 1996.
