Varoon Kumar is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at Westpac New Zealand since October 2024. Previously, Varoon held the position of Senior Associate at Russell McVeagh from October 2022 to October 2024 and worked as a Managing Associate and Associate at Linklaters from October 2017 to June 2022. Earlier roles include Senior Solicitor, Solicitor, and Graduate at Russell McVeagh from 2013 to 2017, and an internship at the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Sydney in early 2011. Varoon holds a BCom/LLB in Law, Economics, and International Trade from The University of Auckland and a Certificate in Transnational Legal Studies from Georgetown University Law Center.
