Tom Cooper leads the Engineering, Science & Technology group encompassing 500+ engineers, scientists, and other technical/business staff. He joined the company in 2015 as a Project Manager focusing on fixed-price performance-based remediation contracts. He became Operations Manager for Weston’s federal business in 2018 leading project management teams with a strong focus on risk management and profitable project execution. During his 4 years as Operations Manager, the Federal West business revenue nearly doubled while simultaneously increasing profitability. As a fervent believer that financial success can only be achieved when employees are engaged, empowered, and educated, Tom helped develop and implement Weston’s Project Manager in Training program. To date, more than 25 individuals have participated in this program resulting in more than half being promoted to Project Manager. Tom has over 20 years of experience managing multi-million dollar environmental programs with a strong history of maximizing efficiency and profitability. Before joining Weston, he served as a Project Manager for CB&I Federal Services LLC (formerly Shaw Environment & Infrastructure). Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science in Geological Sciences from the University of Colorado.
