Erin Kinney began their work experience in 1991 at Wehran Consulting as a Task Manager, where they worked until 2000. In 2000, they joined Weston Solutions, Inc. as a Principal Project Manager. In this role, Erin led project teams for electric vehicle installation projects and provided environmental and building sciences services to commercial and federal clients. Erin was responsible for various tasks such as program management, proposal preparation, site evaluation, subcontractor procurement, marketing, and stakeholder relationship development. Erin successfully managed a team that completed over 500 projects related to facility issues like electrical systems upgrades and environmental concerns.

Erin Kinney completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Geology from the State University of New York College at Potsdam from 1982 to 1985. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Geology from The George Washington University from 1985 to 1990. In 2016, Erin Kinney acquired a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
