Kurt Grandis is an experienced technology professional with a diverse background in engineering, software development, and leadership roles. Kurt currently serves as the VP of Engineering at WeStock since October 2022. Prior to this, Kurt worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Talented from July 2019 to December 2020, where they identified and invested in employee potential using the Talented automated professional development system. Before that, they held the position of CTO at Talented from June 2016 to June 2019, focusing on improving adult learning through a prototype that incorporated daily scenarios and in-app mentorship. Kurt also served as the Director of Technology at Verified Studios from February 2012 to August 2016, where they helped higher education clients leverage web design, online marketing, and software development. Kurt also worked as a CTO on a contract basis at Parelio from January 2015 to December 2015. Kurt started their career as a Principal at Grandis Technologies from December 2001 to December 2015, where they provided consulting services and developed intelligent, adaptive, and scientific software solutions. Kurt also held various roles at MetaMetrics, Inc. serving as Executive Director of Software Engineering from April 2011 to January 2012, Director of Engineering from May 2008 to April 2011, Senior Research Engineer from December 2006 to May 2008, and Technology Manager from July 2005 to December 2006. Throughout their career, Kurt has demonstrated expertise in evidence-based software engineering, machine learning, and educational assessment and instruction.

Kurt Grandis holds a Master's degree in Neurobiology from Duke University, which they obtained in 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychobiology and Computer Science at Binghamton University, graduating in 2000.
