Scott Neely

Director Of Mission Engagement & Community Connections at Westminster Presbyterian Church

Scott Neely has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Scott started their career as the Director of Youth and Outreach at Alamance Presbyterian Church, where they mentored and guided over 200 youth and collegiate students. Scott also conceptualized and executed the Youth Servant Leadership Initiative and led numerous community outreach programs. Scott then transitioned to the role of Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Guilford College, where they supported the Department of Athletics and coordinated athletic-based programs and events. Scott also served as the Coordinator of the Quaker Club Athletic Booster and worked on fundraising and membership initiatives. Scott later joined Noom Inc. as a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, where they managed a caseload of 300-400 active users and partnered with them to establish health-related behavior change goals. Scott utilized motivational interviewing techniques and worked collaboratively with teammates while also having autonomy in their work. Currently, Scott is the Director of Mission Engagement & Community Connections at Westminster Presbyterian Church, where they are responsible for overseeing mission engagement and community connections. Through their work experience, Scott has demonstrated strong leadership, mentoring, and community-building skills.

Scott Neely holds a Master's degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management from Clemson University. Scott also obtained a Post Masters Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from Wright State University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach from the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching, Noom Inc. Health Certification Program from Noom Inc., and Certified Parks and Recreation Professional from the National Recreation and Park Association.
