Francois van Staden is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in process engineering and management. Currently serving as the Principal Process Engineer at Westlake Pipe & Fittings since February 2015, Francois oversees new process development and enhancements in PVC extrusion and downstream processes. Previously, Francois held various roles at Plastiflex from January 2000 to February 2015, including Process & Engineering Manager and Sr Process Engineer, focusing on product development and process optimization. From 1981 to 2000, Francois worked at Eskom, progressing through roles such as Technologist Protection Engineering and Protection Field Manager, where responsibilities included the management and commissioning of power system protection schemes. Francois holds multiple degrees in electrical engineering and technology, underscoring a solid educational foundation in the field.
