Gilbert Soto has extensive experience in social services and clinical art therapy, currently serving as Assistant Vice President and Program Director at Westhab, Inc. since August 2019, where oversight of the operation for a 177-bed men's shelter is a key responsibility. Prior roles include Clinical Director and Assistant Director at Project Renewal from January 2014 to August 2019, supervising facility operations and staff while enforcing rules and regulations. Gilbert also worked as a Recreation Specialist Supervisor/Art Therapist, implementing clinical art therapy processes for the MICA population. Additional experience includes serving as a Creative Arts Specialist at Concern for Independent Living Inc. and roles in customer service and education. Academic qualifications include an MA in Clinical Art Therapy and a BFA in Art Education from Long Island University.
