Andrew Hrymak is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of engineering, currently serving as Co-Director of the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Composites Research and Special Advisor to the President at Western University since January 2011. Prior to these roles, Andrew served as Provost and Vice-President (Academic) and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Western University from July 2009 to July 2018. Andrew's extensive tenure at McMaster University from 1985 to 2009 included positions as Professor, Chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering, and Director of several engineering research institutes. Andrew holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a BEng in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University.
