Maryam Othman serves as the Director of the Community & Global Health Center and an Associate Professor at Western University of Health Sciences since September 2013. In addition to this role, Maryam Othman has been the Medical Information Director at WiRED International since March 2009, overseeing the Community Health Information Program and developing e-learning modules for various global regions. Previous experience includes consulting for the Iraqi Health System Strengthening Project under USAID, managing projects for the Palestine Children Relief Fund, advising the Iraqi Ministry of Health on HIV/AIDS quality improvement, and directing medical evacuation and rehabilitation efforts for the International Organization for Migration. Maryam Othman holds a Master of Public Health in Global Health Management from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and a Medical Doctor degree from The University of Baghdad.
