Michele Hammond has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, focusing on managed care programs and care management. Michele began their career in 1994 at AAA 10B, where they served in various roles, including clinical case aide, pre-screener, service scheduler, and case manager. Michele then joined CareStar in 2001 as an intake supervisor, overseeing the enrollment process for the Ohio Home Care Programs (OHCP). At CareStar, they also held roles such as case manager, acting home modification specialist, and clinical/education supervisor, where they managed staff and ensured compliance with Medicaid rules and OHCP regulations. In 2012, they joined CareSource Management Group, first as a manager of care management for the Integrated Care Delivery System, and then as the director of care management for home and community-based services. In their most recent position as director of managed care programs at Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging since 2014, they oversee the operations and policies for managed care lines of business and engages with stakeholders regarding policy changes.
