Michelle McAteer serves as the WCHA Commissioner, providing strategic direction and oversight for the Western Collegiate Hockey Association since August 2024. With extensive experience in the realm of athletics, McAteer has held multiple roles at Augsburg University since May 2010, including Public Speaking Adjunct Instructor, Assistant NCAA Compliance Director, and Head Hockey Coach, achieving numerous accolades with the hockey program. Previous coaching positions at the University of Minnesota Duluth and Harvard University contributed to successful team outcomes and development of student-athletes. McAteer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a Master of Arts in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
