Fernando Kang has a strong background in project management, business analysis, and operations. Fernando Kang started their career at Capital Group in 1999, where they supervised and reviewed accounting operations for over 1,100 accounts and $7 billion in assets. Fernando Kang also oversaw the operational start-up of new business portfolios and coordinated various account transfers and changes. In 2004, they joined State Street as a Client Service Manager, where they provided consultation on outsourcing and implemented new investment accounting and custody systems. Fernando Kang analyzed and defined business process workflows and key performance indicators. Currently, they work at Western Asset Management as a Project Lead, Business Analyst, and Product Analyst. Fernando Kang collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand and document business requirements. Fernando Kang leads JAD sessions to propose new user interfaces and coordinates quality assurance and user acceptance testing. Fernando Kang is responsible for project scope development, documentation of business requirements, and preparation of change control documentation.

Fernando Kang completed their MBA degree at the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they received a BA in Economics from UCLA between 1992 and 1997. In terms of additional certifications, Fernando obtained a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance in October 2017.
