James Bailey is currently an Associate Professor of Economics at Providence College, a position held since August 2017. Additionally, James serves as a Senior Research Affiliate with the Knee Center for the Study of Occupational Regulation at West Virginia University and as a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, where affiliation with the Consumer Finance Institute is maintained. James is also a Senior Affiliated Scholar at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Prior academic roles include Assistant Professor of Economics at Creighton University and Visiting Instructor at the University of West Florida. Educational credentials include a PhD and M.A. in Economics from Temple University, as well as a B.S. in Economics from The University of Tulsa. James has a strong track record in data analysis, utilizing tools such as Stata, Matlab, and Excel for research projects.
