Andy Shamblin is currently serving as a Delegate for the West Virginia Legislature since January 2023, while also teaching US Studies for 10th and 11th grades at Nitro High School, their alma mater, since August 2014. Additionally, Andy has been an Elected City Council Member for the City of Nitro since July 2012, notable for being the youngest in the city's history, with responsibilities including budget management and municipal project evaluation. Andy holds a Master of Education in Leadership Studies from Marshall University Graduate College (2015-2018) and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from West Virginia State University (2009-2014).
