Mike O'Connell is an experienced educator and program manager with a diverse background in agriculture, horticulture, and community service. Currently serving as a Career and Technical Education teacher at the West Virginia Department of Education since October 2018, Mike previously held the role of Education Coordinator at Crittenton Services, Inc. Additionally, Mike managed the C3 Covenant Community Garden, overseeing a project that produced over 10,000 pounds of food annually for local shelters. Mike's extensive experience in horticulture includes managing a greenhouse at Nickys Garden Center and operating a 180-acre farm as Farm Manager at Abbot's Farm and Greenhouses. Mike holds a Master of Education in Community Leadership, an additional endorsement in Agricultural Teacher Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from West Liberty University.
