Frank Courtney is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education consultancy and management within the heritage railway sector. As the Managing Director and founding director of Merganser Consulting Ltd since April 2005, Frank leads an international education consultancy focused on enhancing global perspectives in educational services. A long-term contributor to West Somerset Railway Plc, Frank has held various roles in operations and event management since 1985. Notably, Frank served as Director of Communications and Vice Chairman of the West Somerset Railway Association, guiding the organization through significant changes. Previous positions include Chief Executive of Merganser Academies Trust, Head of International Development at Serco, and Head of International Development at Bath & North East Somerset Council.
