J. Paul Rinehimer is a seasoned professional in hydraulic engineering and marine science, currently serving as Project Manager and Senior Hydraulic Engineering Staff at WEST Consultants, Inc. since May 2015. Prior to this role, J. Paul worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Coastal Margin Observation and Prediction, where research focused on sediment dynamics in the Columbia River Estuary. J. Paul's academic background includes a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Washington, as well as an MS in Marine Science from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and a BS in Geology and Geophysics from Boston College. Early career experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant conducting field measurements and developing sediment models and a Scientific Programmer modernizing FORTRAN code.
