James McAllister is an experienced IT professional currently serving as Head of IT at West College Scotland since April 2024. Prior to this role, James held the position of Head of IT at Kura (CS) Ltd, where responsibilities included managing the IT environment and providing strategic direction for operations in the UK and South Africa from September 2022 to April 2024. James's extensive background includes over two decades at V.Group, culminating as Head of Global Infrastructure, where efforts were concentrated on enhancing IT performance and supporting global strategies. Earlier experience includes managing IT integrations during mergers and leading a team in the rollout of the Scottish Communications Initiative at Cairn Systems UK. James holds a degree from the University of the West of Scotland, completed between 1986 and 1991.
