Laura Newell is an accomplished journalism professional with extensive experience in editorial roles. Currently serving as the Readers’ Editor and heading the Regional Editorial Hub at West Australian Newspapers Limited since September 2011, Laura oversees editorial operations for 19 regional newspaper titles in Western Australia. Previous positions include Editor of Northern Papers, where responsibilities encompassed the Pilbara News and North West Telegraph, and roles such as Senior Reporter at Cambridge First and Cambridge News. Laura has also contributed as a co-presenter and columnist for Seven West Media's "Two Pommie Sheilas." Earlier career experiences include working as an executive assistant and features writer for the Evening Standard, a marketing officer at St Mary's School, and a ski instructor. Laura holds a PGdip in newspaper journalism from Harlow College and a BA in Human Geography from Queen Mary University of London.
